Bone-Implant Integration

We develop and apply precision imaging methods to quantify how implants integrate with bone in clinical research. Our specialized facility performs radiostereometric analysis (RSA) — a stereo x-ray technique that measures implant migration and wear with micrometer accuracy — and extends these capabilities to CT and weight-bearing CT. We also use advanced imaging biomarkers to assess bone quality and its relationship to implant stability and long-term fixation.
